Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth shift management and high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Develop and execute diverse menus tailored to fine dining or catering events, incorporating dietary considerations and current culinary trends
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and adherence to safety regulations
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Coordinate with the hospitality team to deliver seamless food service experiences for guests or event attendees
  • Train staff on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and customer service expectations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fine casual dining establishments or catering environments with banquet experience preferred
  • Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated team management capabilities
  • Extensive culinary experience with expertise in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and dietary department standards
  • Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and food service management
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Prior restaurant or hospitality industry experience is highly desirable
  • Certifications related to food safety, HACCP, or culinary arts are a plus
