Chef De Partie - Bakery

Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.

JOB PURPOSE:

As a CHEF DE PARTIE – BAKERY, you will oversee daily bakery operations and ensure the consistent production of premium-quality baked goods for our restaurants, lounges, and banquet events. You will lead a small team, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and contribute to the development of new and inspiring bakery creations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and participate in the preparation, baking, and finishing of breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and specialty items.
• Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation meet the hotel’s standards of excellence.
• Organize daily mise en place and delegate tasks efficiently to the bakery team.
• Monitor stock levels, maintain cost control, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
• Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in the bakery area.
• Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and Sous Chef to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings.
• Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

• Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a professional bakery, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
• Strong technical knowledge in bread and pastry production, dough handling, and finishing techniques.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry is preferred.
