Chef - Italian / French Cafè

Chef – Italian / French Café Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our Italian/French café. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing fresh salads, café-style food, and desserts, with a strong focus on quality, presentation, and consistency. You will play a key role in maintaining our culinary standards and delivering an excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present Italian and French café dishes, including salads, light meals, and sweets Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety at all times Assist in menu preparation and suggest new dishes or improvements Manage food preparation timing to ensure efficient service Control food portions and minimize waste Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients when required Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth daily operations Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Requirements: Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, bistro, or casual dining restaurant Knowledge of Italian and/or French cuisine (salads, pastries, desserts, light meals) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and presentation Good time-management and organizational skills Basic knowledge of food cost control is an advantage
