We are an Asian restaurant looking to hire a UAE experienced Chef to work with us at Global Villahge. Our menu consist of Asian food - Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Asian Cuisine

The CDP is responsible for cooking and presenting high quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest experience while assisting with food cost controls, supplies inventory and other necessary kitchen duties. As a CDP, you will have an assistant to help with preparation all of the ingredients.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
- Work across all areas to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded and standards are consistently maintained
- Daily Mise en place and station preparation prior to service and at the end of the shift
- Check on a daily basis food preparation regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe
- Maintaining the condition of kitchen area at all times
- Communicate and work closely with kitchen team to ensure high food quality and hygiene at all times
- Check the main information board regarding changes in any Banquets or other information regarding the organization
- Pass all information to the next shift
- Accidents and sickness to be written in log Book and report to CDC
- Check Commis Chefs regarding personal hygiene, ensuring adherence to company standards etc
- Assist in composing new recipes and menu ideas
- Ensure food supply are stored correctly, fresh and regularly check for expiry
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
- Keep a positive work attitude and always be solution-oriented
- Communicate and work closely with floor staff, floor and bar staff to ensure customer satisfaction
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless transfer of information takes place
- To keep wastage to a minimum and be vigilant in reducing expenditure
- To identify and notify Supervisor of all maintenance requirements hazards in the work place to comply with municipality and company mandatory requirements for fire, health and safety to ensure that members of the team are also aware of these requirements and are working in accordance with the requirements
- To comply with Municipality regulations regarding Food Hygiene procedure
- To be flexible in assisting around different areas of the hotel in response to business and client needs
- To perform all tasks to a consistent standard as detailed with the department standard of performance manual, and to promote within Restaurant and Brand key Standards
- To attend daily briefing sessions and Departmental meetings when required
- To attend training sessions and meeting when required and to operate in line with the training or information received
- Use their culinary skills in assigned sections of the kitchen
- Assist and/or supervise assigned sections in the absence of the supervisor or manager
- You may also have the opportunity to train and develop other more junior staff
- A great team attitude and a natural ability to thrive in high pressure environments.
To qualify for this position you should have
- Minimum 3 year experience in the relevant area of reputable restaurant environment
- Previous experience in Thai Cuisine
- Previous experience in Japanese Cuisine
- Previous experience in Chinese Cuisine
- Excellent command of the English language speaking, reading and writing
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Smart in appearance and well groomed
- Good interpersonal skills
- High school or equivalent education required
- Knowledge in computer
- Passion for food and beverage
- Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes and proper preparation
- Able to handle pressure and maintain a positive attitude

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
