Chemical Logistic Coordinator

Will be responsible for facilitating and managing all aspects of shipping and delivery in line with industry standards and to ensure full customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

• Identity and negotiate rates with carriers for local and overseas shipments
• Arrange transportation and schedule deliveries to meet work requirements
• Organize shipment inline with set processes to avoid quality control issues
• Provide routing information and shipping instructions to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries
• Prepare accurate shipping documents for custom clearances for import, export, and re-export
• Ensure any logistics problems that may arise are resolved to avoid delays
• Liaise with forwarders and accounts department to secure adequate and timely payments
• Manage distribution and shipping budgets
• Maintain records and ensure correct cost allocation in terms of orders and projects
• Continuous review of freight charges and transportation rates, to achieve sustainable savings, where possible
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with the Company HSE policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize processes
• Set up and monitor delivery KPI's (such as DIFOT) to ensure customer satisfaction

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree
• Background in the Chemicals field covering export and planning, regulatory understanding etc
• 3-5 years of experience
