Chemical Operator

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?


Chemical Operator reports to the Production Supervisor – is responsible for Safety, evaluating daily production requirements through SAP and executing production plan. Additionally, complete all quality control functions and documentations. Schedule and perform unloading and loading of tankers, rail cars and totes. Other job functions related to Shipping and Receiving including scheduling, loading/unloading, batch cards, receiving into SAP, packaging of customer orders in pails, drums and totes for on time delivery. Safe operation of a Fork Truck and dock safety compliance is mandatory.

Performs all operations in compliance with local, state, and federal laws in addition to GCP applied Technologies safety requirements to ensure;
All job functions are performed using Safe work practices.
Wear PPE required for the job (Hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, face shield)
Assists in inventory counts and reconciliations.
Meets production quality standards.
Production output meets thru-put standards.
Produces finish product to fill Customer demands in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Participates in EHS Behavior Based Safety program, Daily and Monthly Safety meetings, Web Based training programs, Personal Safety Action Plans, EHS and Environmental Operational Management practices.
Informs Production Team Leader of an inability to meet daily thru-put requirements. Ask questions for clarification as needed, suggest recommends and/or implements approved corrective action.
Ensure Lab and QA procedures are followed per GCP’s requirements. Also, ensure product quality standards is maintained and documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Daily management of the Shipping and Receiving Department to assure that:
Orders are evaluated, scheduled appropriately to ensure timely delivery to customers.
All shipments are prepared to order, properly labeled, loaded and shipped in accordance with DOT regulations.
All receivables are properly accounted for, labeled and transferred to their designated storage areas within the plant.
All receivables and outgoing shipments is posted in SAP and documentation filed appropriately.
Informs Plant Supervisor and/or Customer Service of an inability to meet customer delivery requirement. Offer solutions to resolve and correct this deficiency.
Participates in daily facility housekeeping within all production and warehousing areas and as assigned by the Production Team Leader.
Informs Production Team Leader of any maintenance requirements and/or activities necessary to insure the safe, efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. Utilize Kaizen actions sheets or work order forms for corrective actions.
Participates in scheduled team meetings to recommend any necessary changes in procedures that will improve quality, production output, health and safety. Also, decrease waste generation and cost.

The Chemical Operator may be required to work weekends and/or a holiday as dictated by demand at the time.

While performing the duties of this job, the Chemical Operator is required to stand, walk, sit, and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the Chemical Operator is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The Operator is occasionally exposed to high places; fumes or airborne particles; chemicals (acids and bases); outside weather conditions; heat; noise and vibration.

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the local pay rate for this position, which is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 3.5% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $51,667 - 55,973. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.


Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:
