Chemist

Chemist will be responsible for :

· Perform chemical analyses on waste samples to determine composition, characteristics, and potential hazards.

· Utilize a wide range of laboratory instruments and techniques to conduct tests and ensure accurate and reliable results.

· Ensure all waste characterization, fingerprinting activities, environmental monitoring comply with regulatory standards (RCER, EPA, etc.).

· Prepare, label, and handle waste samples safely in accordance with environmental and laboratory protocols.

· Conduct treatability studies for waste requiring chemical or physical treatment to identify appropriate disposal methods.

· Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment; ensure accurate data generation and record-keeping.

· Maintain laboratory logs, analysis reports in accordance with established QA/QC procedures.

· Monitor laboratory supplies and request replenishment when needed.

· Follow all safety procedures and environmental requirements, report incidents or non-conformances promptly.
