Job Summary

Product development for Greases and Lubricants. QC shift and activities supervision within the lab as allocated by Laboratory Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

Product Development

  • Management of product and formulation development projects in Greases and Lubricants in liaison with Technology Managers.
  • Work with suppliers for base oil and additive requirements to execute NPD projects.
  • Undertake product and formulation optimization projects in liaison with Technology Managers for NPIs, work-offs, new RM approvals etc.
  • Manage product master data (PDS, SDS etc.) and quality specs (QC).


Quality Control and Laboratory Operations

  • Manage day-to-day execution of Quality Control (Q.C.) and Product Development.
  • Supervise a team of Chemists, and Laboratory Assistants.
  • Execute responsibilities allocated by Laboratory Manager.
  • Execute laboratory KPIs and workflow management.
  • Manage personnel KPIs.
  • Competence development of team through training and onboarding.
  • Support QMS through documentation and on-ground compliance.
  • Work with plant operations for day-to-day execution of FG and RM QC with agreed TAT.
  • Work with Compliance Officer for QMS activities.
  • Oversee laboratory equipment and assets maintenance.
  • Weekly manpower plan and work plan management.
  • Quality LIMS reporting and management.
  • Care for own and the team’s safety and ensure third parties’ adhere to HSE guidelines, adopting and multiplying risk prevention attitudes and promoting health in general.
  • Compliance with the legal dispositions and the internal HSEQ procedures.
  • Work towards preservation of the environment, contribute to the elimination of workplace accident risks, and occupational diseases.
  • Works in compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics.


Job Knowledge:

Academic:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.


Experience:

More than 3 years in lubricants or similar laboratory.

  • Formulation of lubricants
  • Physical-chemical analysis
  • QC and R&D equipment
  • People management
  • Cost & Budget Management
  • Intermediate MS Office skills

ISO 9001, ISO 17025
