â˘Supervise daily QA operations including in-process and final inspections of castings.
â˘Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
â˘Implement and maintain inspection procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
đ Monitoring & Reporting
â˘Monitor product quality and identify recurring issues or non-conformities.
â˘Generate and analyze quality performance metrics such as defect rates, rejection trends, and audit findings.
â˘Prepare daily and monthly QA reports for management.
đ Documentation & Standards
â˘Maintain QA documentation including inspection reports, calibration records, and control plans.
â˘Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
â˘Assist in internal and external audits and follow up on corrective actions.
đĽ Team Supervision & Training
â˘Lead and guide a team of quality inspectors and technicians.
â˘Provide technical training on inspection methods, tools, and quality standards.
â˘Conduct periodic performance evaluations and coaching.
đ Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis
â˘Support cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
â˘Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
â˘Participate in customer complaint investigations and response coordination.
đ¤ Coordination & Communication
â˘Liaise with production, maintenance, and engineering departments to resolve quality issues.
â˘Communicate quality concerns and best practices across teams.
â˘Support new product development and validation activities from a QA perspective.
đ Qualifications & Requirements:
â˘Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
â˘5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a foundry or metal casting industry.
â˘Strong understanding of steel and iron casting processes and defect analysis.
â˘Familiarity with inspection tools (CMM, gauges, NDT methods) and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
â˘Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting tolerances.
â˘Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
â˘Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram) and lean quality techniques.
