Job Description:

The Chemistry Analyst position performs a wide variety of sophisticated analytical measurements. They are responsible to ensure timely results while utilizing critical analytical methodology in support of quality and food safety testing at the Mars Global Services Regional Laboratory in Thompson Station, TN. This professional is a crucial member of the Regional Chemistry Laboratory team and reports directly to the Regional Laboratory Operations Manager.

Please note, the schedule for this role is Tuesday- Saturday, 8 am- 4:30 pm CST.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, natural or food sciences or pharmaceutical with emphasis in analytical chemistry.

  • Knowledge and accuracy in running and maintaining necessary analytical instrumentation is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience working in a production lab environment

  • Working knowledge of ISO 17025 standard

  • Knowledge of food safety and nutrition is an asset

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Deliver true, accurate results in a timely manner

  • Carrying out routine analysis accurately while following documented methods.

  • Operate, manage & maintain laboratory instrumentation

  • Maintains documentation of analytical results in ELN (Electronic Notebook) and/or the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

  • Work as a team player including open and honest communication, respecting confidentiality with any laboratory information
