Job Purpose
To plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Chemistry instruction in alignment with the CBSE curriculum for Grades 9–12, fostering scientific thinking, practical skills, and a positive learning environment that supports student achievement.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Learning
- Prepare and deliver engaging, concept-based lessons as per CBSE curriculum for classes 9–12.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies (demonstrations, experiments, ICT tools, inquiry-based learning).
- Simplify complex chemistry concepts for diverse learners.
- Integrate NEP-2020 guidelines, competency-based learning, and experiential learning approaches.
B. Practical Work & Lab Management
- Plan and conduct laboratory sessions safely as per CBSE practical requirements.
- Maintain laboratory records, stock registers, chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Train students in laboratory skills, observation recording, and analysis.
C. Assessment & Evaluation
- Design periodic tests, assignments, lab assessments, projects, and competency-based assessments.
- Prepare and evaluate answer scripts as per CBSE marking schemes.
- Maintain accurate academic records, portfolios, and report cards.
D. Student Support
- Provide academic guidance, extra support/remedial classes, and mentoring to students.
- Prepare students for board examinations, Olympiads, and competitive exams (NTSE, CUET, JEE).
- Foster scientific curiosity, discipline, and collaborative learning.
E. Professional Responsibilities
- Attend subject meetings, workshops, CBSE trainings, and professional development programs.
- Participate in school events, science fairs, assemblies, and interdisciplinary projects.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
3. Required QualificationsEducational
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry.
- B.Ed. (mandatory for CBSE schools).
Experience
- 1–5+ years of teaching experience in CBSE secondary/senior secondary preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also be considered.
