Job Summary

This job description assumes the basic and latter view of Head of Accounts position. As such, the Head of Accounts should manage funds in such a manner as to maximize return on investment while minimizing risk, and while also ensuring that an adequate control structure is in place over the transfer and investment of funds. Further, the finance manager engages in financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance. Also responsible to assists the accounts department in directing the organization's accounting functions. Support departments and assures day-to-day operations are carried out and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Must have the ability and desire to work with people in a team environment, be innovative and willing to participate in internal programs, communications, work simplification, cost-reduction, quality improvement and Lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Controls of all balance sheet accounts by preparation of ‎monthly account reconciliations and actions accordingly.
  • Financial Accounting Management and Bank Negotiations & Relations. ‎
  • Closing with full responsibility of the account receivable, account payable functions to support chief accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounts Department.
  • Ensure that the company’ accounting records are prepared and updated accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of Budgeting & ‎Forecasting.
  • Responsible for daily accounting activities such as maintenance of general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Compile, maintain and analyze accounting information to prepare entries to accounts.
  • Purchasing function - ensuring that LPO's are raised for services availed & products to be purchased.
  • Preparation of Management accounting reports – P&L, B/S & ‎Cash Flow ‎Cost / Inventory Control.
  • General ledger function - posting of intercompany entries, reconciling of intercompany accounts and passing monthly accrual entries.
  • Treasury function: estimating fund requirements and submission of cash flow estimated to the management.
  • Follow-up receivables, payables and reconciliation of debtors, creditor’s accounts and other third parties.
  • Proactively interact with the clients to ensure timely updating of the Accounting records relating to their payments, deductions and recoveries.
  • Ensure all other statutory dues are paid in time and recorded accurately.
  • Deal with the company’s bankers and ensure timely reconciliation of balances.
  • Liaise with statutory auditors of the company and ensure timely completion of Audit.
  • Maintenance of daily bank transaction reports and overseeing a balance in outgoing and incoming funds.
  • Preparing WPS, payroll report.
  • Prepares monthly position of actual results against budget, ‎analyze results and recommend measures required to meet ‎budget. ‎
  • Handling conflicts between clients and the company.
  • Working closely with the department to ensure all accounts run smoothly.

Job Type / Category

Coffee and Vending business is our key business and we import and export the same commodities.

Finance Manager should report to the Management Directly.

He will be fully responsible for all finance and accounts activities of the organization.

Maintaining MIS system and improving it with necessary changes when required is must.

Working hours are 8 hours a day and weekly you allowed one day off.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Candidate should have MBA in finance / CIMA /ACCA or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years experience in the same position

GCC Experience is a prerequisite.

Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (Secondary).
