Chief Accountant

Job Summary

The incumbent is a Senior Finance and Accounting professional overseeing the Accounting, Tax and Treasury Function of MS Pharma KSA. The role entails leadership of a team of two professionals with the overarching accountability of the accuracy and completeness of MS Pharma KSA's financial statements. This includes but is not limited to statutory/ legal, IFRS and tax financial accounting, internal controls & compliance with policies and procedures, Treasury operations and internal/ external audit management.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead a team of two professionals with accountability of all Accounting, Controls and Treasury activities
• Organize, own and drive the monthly financial closing process in line with policies and procedures adhering to corporate timelines; Financial pack preparation and sign off; frequent interaction with Corporate Controllership
• Oversight of transactional processing of invoices, vouchers etc. including the related account reconciliations and control procedures / SOD
• Ownership of internal/external audit management and external tax service providers
• Ownership of the preparation and filing of tax declarations, tax documentation
• Credit and Collection responsibility, Management of agent incl. reconciliations
• CAPEX tracking/ monitoring and related reporting activities
• Treasury and Bank related activities including cash status, cash flow reporting, bank reconciliations and management; CADs, LC management
• Preparation and review of periodic financial reports (e.g., project reports, bank reconciliations, cash flows, trial balances), ensuring accuracy and completeness
• OPEX tracking

Professional Knowledge

• Strong Accounting skillset; strong IFRS knowledge
• Advanced Knowledge of Saudi tax law and financial regulations.
• Understanding of internal/external audit processes
• Project Management skillset, demonstrated continuous process improvement skillset
• Full awareness of Corporate Governance principles and regulations
• Knowledge of Customs & Clearance Regulations
• Customs & Clearance Regulations
• Manufacturing Finance / Accounting expertise a plus
• Internal Controls & Compliance experience & expertise
• Pharmaceutical Industry Experience / Business acumen a strong plus
• Demonstrated Treasury Knowledge

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, CA/CPA/ACCA certification is a must.
• Minimum years of relevant industry experience with a minimum of 4 years in a Chief Accountant role.
• Proficiency in written, read and spoken English and Arabic.
