Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Bahrain and KSA accounting standards.
- Oversee cost accounting and project-based financial tracking for ongoing contracts.
- Handle VAT filing, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies for reporting and compliance.
- Review and approve journal entries, expense reports, and reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow, forecast budgets, and support management with financial analysis.
- Maintain and improve internal control systems and accounting processes.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP): review, approve, and process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate supplier records.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): issue invoices, follow up on collections, and reconcile customer accounts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, ideally in the construction or contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of Bahrain & KSA VAT laws, labor regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo experience is an advantage).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
