Chief Accountant

We're Hiring: Chief Accountant – Based in Kuwait

We are currently looking for a Chief Accountant to join our team. If you’re a strong leader with a solid background in construction accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting, this might be the right opportunity for you!

Location: Kuwait

Salary: 800–900 KWD

Working Hours: 8 AM – 4 PM

Working Days: Sunday to Thursday

Visa Type: Article 18 (Transferable Only)

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting (preferably in construction sector).
• Proven experience in managing a team of senior/junior accountants.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of VAT and local regulatory compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and handle full accounts.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team (including senior accountants).
• Monitor project costs and ensure accurate job costing.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for management.
• Ensure proper controls over inventory and assets.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll oversight.
• Ensure compliance with all tax and legal requirements.
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
• Streamline accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
