Chief Accountant (Bahraini National)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant (Bahraini National) to lead our accounting and financial operations in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting senior management with accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the complete accounting function, including GL, AP, AR, and payroll
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Ensure compliance with Bahrain laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members
• Support management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making

Requirements

• Bahraini National (mandatory)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or chief accountant role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Bahrain financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA
• Experience in Bahrain-based companies and handling audits

Pay: BD650.000 - BD750.000 per month
