Chief Accountant (Confidential Role)

About the Role:
A well-established organization is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Accountant to lead and oversee its financial operations. This is a confidential opportunity suited for a high-caliber professional with strong technical expertise and a proven leadership background in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, reporting, and closing processes
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and tax requirements in Qatar
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors
• Strengthen internal controls and financial procedures
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly preferred
• Minimum 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Experience in the GCC region (preferably Qatar)
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
