Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead and manage the accounting operations of our hospitality business in Nauru.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full set of accounts and daily accounting operations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Coordinate and manage external and internal audits
• Prepare financial analysis reports for management decision-making
• Maintain accurate records using accounting systems and Excel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior experience in the hospitality industry is required
• Excellent hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems (Odoo knowledge is an advantage)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
