Chief Accountant - Real Estate Developments

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Accountant to lead and strengthen the financial operations of a rapidly emerging property development firm at its Karachi back-office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in accounting and finance, particularly within the property development sector. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, delivering high-quality reporting and analysis, overseeing budget and forecasting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely completion of project-based financial performance reports, budget variance analyses, and forecasts.
• Monitor cost control, revenue tracking, and financial KPIs across real estate development projects.
• Supervise, mentor, and allocate tasks to the accounting team to ensure optimal performance and workflow balance.
• Foster a results-driven culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Ensure adherence to compliance with IFRS, and corporate tax laws through accurate and timely financial records.
• Establish and maintain strong internal control systems and policies to safeguard company assets.
• Provide financial insight and modeling to support land acquisition, construction phases, project financing, and asset management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, project management, and marketing to ensure financial viability of all developments.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth audit processes and financial transparency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA qualified (Required).

Experience:

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive experience, preferably in real estate, construction, or property development sectors.
• Proven experience in leading high-performing finance teams and managing financial systems and processes in a complex business environment.

Technical Proficiency:

• Deep understanding of project-based accounting, taxation, and cash flow management specific to the real estate industry.
• Proficiency in ERP, and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis proficiency.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs200,000.00 per month
