Developing systems, policies, plans, and programs for Business Continuity Management (BCM) to ensure the organization’s ability to continue providing ambulance services in the Emirate of Dubai during emergencies, crises, and disasters, in alignment with the general directions of the Government of Dubai, and ensuring their continuous flexibility.
Planning and implementing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities and monitoring high-priority risks across the organization.
Ensuring that all requirements related to the implementation of Business Continuity Management systems and plans are met — whether legislative, legal, regulatory, or contractual — including professional ethics obligations and the implicit expectations of internal and external stakeholders, as well as other relevant entities.
Implementing the audit visit plan for all ambulance stations affiliated with the organization to verify their readiness to provide ambulance and emergency response services in the Emirate of Dubai, and preparing related reports.
Preparing and implementing the internal audit plan for the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS) in coordination with relevant organizational units.
Providing government requirements (such as those from Digital Dubai Authority, the Executive Council, and others) related to business continuity and risk management, ensuring the organization’s readiness, and representing it in internal and external assessments.
Managing incidents, emergencies, and responses efficiently and effectively to minimize impacts on human resources, customers, operations, and infrastructure, in coordination with internal units and external entities.
Preparing proposed recovery plans for emergencies and crises to ensure effective recovery and restoration of normal operations.
Preparing plans to secure and ensure the safety of critical infrastructure of the organization’s facilities, in coordination with relevant organizational units and specialized authorities.
Preparing and updating Business Continuity and Enterprise Risk Registers in collaboration with organizational units, monitoring their approval, and coordinating the development of appropriate action plans and measures to ensure effective handling.
Preparing and maintaining documentation related to the BCM and ERM programs, and conducting periodic reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Implementing memorandums of understanding (MOUs) related to Business Continuity and Risk Management with all relevant government and private sector entities.
Preparing Business Continuity Reports and Risk Management Performance Reports in coordination with relevant units and submitting the resulting recommendations to the line manager.
Participating in the preparation and implementation of maintenance and testing programs for all crisis, disaster, and risk management plans.
Proposing developmental initiatives and conducting local and international benchmarking related to Business Continuity and Risk Management strategies and plans.
Communicating with government entities, authorities, institutions, experts, consultants, and local and international organizations specializing in Business Continuity and Risk Management to exchange information, experiences, and best practices, and to develop plans for implementing the most suitable ones in the organization.
Coordinating with concerned organizational units to ensure the readiness and suitability of both public and private ambulance units to respond to emergencies and crises, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
Maintaining the validity of quality systems related to Business Continuity and Risk Management within the organization, including compliance with ISO 22301, ISO 31000, and other relevant standards.
Complying with information security systems, policies, and procedures, and reporting any security breaches or suspicious incidents to the direct supervisor.
Participating in workshops, seminars, and local and international conferences related to Business Continuity and Risk Management to learn from experiences and best practices and to develop studies for implementing the most effective ones in the organization.
Promoting the culture of Business Continuity and Risk Management, raising institutional awareness through related workshops and training sessions for employees.
Performing any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor as officially documented.
Qualifications
Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Business Continuity and Risk Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Holder of a Certified Risk Management Professional (ISO 31000) certificate.
