What is the Role?
We are seeking to hire a Chief Business Officer (CBO) responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's overall business operations. As a key member of the leadership team, this position involves close collaboration with senior management to ensure cohesive decision-making and strategic alignment. The CBO will play a critical role in developing and implementing the company’s marketing and business development strategies, driving revenue growth, and supporting overall organizational success.
This role provides strategic business leadership and oversight by serving as a primary advisor to the executive leadership team. The CBO will ensure that the company's business strategies, policies, and practices effectively support its overall objectives. Additionally, maintaining appropriate governance, policies, and procedures to ensure transaction integrity and protect the company's marketing, revenue, and business development interests are essential responsibilities of this position.
What Will You Do?

Serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, offering business insights and recommendations to inform decision-making processes.

Lead key aspects of the company's business development initiatives, including sales and marketing efforts.

Develop and execute the company's comprehensive business strategy, incorporating marketing and business development activities.

Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the executive team across all business areas.

Oversee core business functions such as sales, marketing, product development, and operations.

Plan, organize, and oversee projects, activities, and functions within financial services and operations.

Prepare and maintain a variety of reports, records, and files, including narrative and statistical documentation.

Identify new revenue opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.

Collaborate closely with the revenue and marketing departments to set corporate goals and ensure their achievement.

Review and provide guidance on contracts, agreements, and negotiation documents.

Implement programs to promote financial stability, including the development of annual budgets for relevant functional areas.

Offer expertise on the annual budgeting process and assist in the formulation of policies and procedures.

Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.

Analyze business performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and recommend data-driven solutions.

Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment and integration of strategic initiatives across the organization.

What Qualifications and Requirements are Good to have to be considered for the role?

Bachelor’s degree (or master’s degree) in business management, business administration or a related field

10+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within the FinTech and Banking industries.

Proven success in developing and implementing business strategies that enhance growth, profitability, and market share.

Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budget management, organizational integration, and staff development.

Extensive knowledge of the industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

Strong business and financial acumen, with a solid understanding of performance metrics and analytics.

Experience in managing complex organizations and leading change initiatives.

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

Ability to interpret complex business development and marketing data into actionable insights for executive leadership and the board.

Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

Strong presentation and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships, as well as management and influencing skills.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to adapt to relevant audience, including C-suite level executives, as well as regulators. Fluency in Arabic is a must.
