We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven* Chief Engineer* to lead property operations, uphold the highest maintenance standards, and ensure every system runs safely and efficiently.

This is a role for a true working leader—someone who’s just as confident turning a wrench as they are leading a team or coordinating with vendors. You’ll oversee all building systems, manage preventive maintenance, and keep everything from HVAC to snowmelt systems in top shape—all while fostering a motivated, high-performing engineering crew.

Your Impact:

• Perform and oversee maintenance of all building systems—mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and structural.

• Lead budgeting, planning, and capital project coordination.

• Drive preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and safety compliance.

• Manage vendor relationships and property upkeep, ensuring every detail meets East West standards.

• Partner with the HOA and General Manager through board meetings and ongoing property initiatives.

Location: Frontgate - Avon

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full Time Year Round

Schedule: Monday - Friday but can accommodate weekends, four 10 shifts and/or some night work

Pay Rate: $90,000 -$97.000 annually, DOE + $3,000 sign on bonus! (half paid after 60 days, and half paid after 120 days)

Minimum Requirements
The Right Candidate Will Have:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, valid Colorado driver’s license, and a detail-oriented, safety-conscious mindset.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience across multiple trades, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, irrigation, and pool/spa maintenance.

• Excellent administrative and organizational abilities, with experience in vendor coordination, invoice processing, warranty tracking, and maintenance reporting.

• Professional communication and leadership skills to interact effectively with guests, owners, HOAs, and senior leadership, as well as to lead and support team performance.

• Proficiency with technology and property management systems, including spreadsheets and reporting tools.

• Knowledge of HOA operations and board relations, including budgeting and reserve analysis (preferred but highly valued).
