for our global business partner, which operates in financial services.
About the Company
The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible of all aspects in the organization, providing leadership in strategy, business growth, financial oversight, compliance, and regulatory affairs. This role requires guiding the company to remain competitive within the fast-moving, highly regulated financial services industry, while emphasizing innovation, customer experience, and operational excellence.
About the Role
This role blends the complexity of running a regulated financial institution with the fast pace of fintech innovation. The CEO will be expected to balance compliance, customer-focused innovation, and operational efficiency, ensuring the company remains profitable, future-ready, and a leader in digital financial services.
This role will have no restriction for travelling in Southeast Europe.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision

Define and implement the company’s long-term strategy in line with industry trends, regulations, and customer expectations.

Drive innovation and growth in the digital payments sector, identifying new business opportunities.

Provide clear direction to the executive team and collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to achieve company objectives.
Financial Oversight & Performance

Manage financial performance to achieve profitability targets, control expenses, and ensure stability.

Responsible of budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.

Cultivate relationships with investors, partners, and stakeholders to secure capital and support sustainable expansion.
Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, licensing obligations, AML/CTF standards, and data protection laws.

Stay ahead of regulatory developments and adjust strategies accordingly.

Establish strong risk management frameworks to protect against financial, operational, and reputational risks.
Innovation & Product Development

Lead the creation of new digital financial products and services, driving customer adoption and market growth.

Promote a culture of innovation by exploring advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and blockchain.

Continuously enhance existing solutions to remain secure, user-friendly, and competitive.

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or master’s preferred).

At least 15 years in financial services or payments, including 10+ years in senior leadership (CEO, COO, CFO, CSO etc.).

Proven experience leading an Electronic Money Institution or fintech company.

Strong expertise in digital payments, PSD2 regulations, AML/CTF compliance, and fintech governance.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, EU directives, and fintech innovations.

Strong financial management skills with large-scale P&L responsibility.
