About the Role

We are seeking highly experienced Chief Executive Officers (SPV CEOs) to lead Independent Power Project (IPP) companies from pre-financial close through construction, commissioning, and commercial operation. The CEO will be fully accountable for overall strategy, execution, financial performance, stakeholder engagement, governance, and long-term asset performance.

This is a senior executive leadership role requiring deep expertise in the power, energy, and infrastructure sectors , with a strong track record in delivering multi-billion SAR projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the Project Company (IPP).
  • Lead project execution across all phases—from financial close to construction, commissioning, and long-term operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations including PPA, EPC, O&M, and LTSA agreements.
  • Oversee delivery of the project within budget, on schedule, and in alignment with technical, financial, and legal standards.
  • Ensure governance compliance with corporate policies, financing agreements, regulatory requirements, and HSE standards.
  • Regularly update executive management and the Board of Directors on progress, risks, financial health, and KPIs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders: lenders, investors, EPC contractors, O&M providers, off-takers, regulators, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent the project company in high-level negotiations and external engagements.
  • Lead financial management of the project, ensuring cost control, cash flow discipline, and covenant compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO on project financial performance, debt servicing, and reporting.
  • Oversee construction, technical activities, and operational readiness in coordination with the CTO and functional leaders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks—including construction, technical, regulatory, and financial risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and performance optimization.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performance leadership team across Finance, Technical, Operations, Legal, and Administration.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and high performance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred .
  • Minimum 15 years of senior leadership experience in power, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale IPP projects through development, construction, and operation.
  • Strong expertise in project finance, PPA structures, EPC contracts, O&M frameworks, and asset management.
  • Experience managing multi-billion SAR projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership in multi-disciplinary, cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build trust with lenders, regulators, contractors, and executive leadership teams.
