CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / PRESIDENT (COMMERCIAL HVAC SERVICES)

THE OPPORTUNITY

The CEO/President will lead the next phase of growth, transformation, and value creation for the organization. Reporting to the Board and ownership group, this executive will have full responsibility for strategy, operations, financial performance, and organizational development across all business units and geographic markets.


This leader will be responsible for scaling the platform while preserving the customer-centric culture and operational excellence that have fueled the company's success. The role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational discipline, commercial leadership, and people development.


The successful candidate will drive profitable growth, strengthen market positioning, optimize branch performance, and build a world-class leadership team capable of supporting continued expansion.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy focused on market expansion, service line development, and long-term enterprise value creation.
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities while ensuring successful integration and operational alignment.
  • Establish organizational priorities and performance metrics that support sustainable growth.

Financial Management

  • Maintain full P&L responsibility for the organization.
  • Drive revenue growth, EBITDA improvement, cash flow optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial performance management.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee all service, construction, controls, and support operations.
  • Improve operational consistency, technician productivity, customer retention, safety performance, and service delivery execution.
  • Ensure scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure are in place to support continued growth.

Commercial Leadership

  • Strengthen customer relationships and expand strategic account penetration.
  • Partner with sales and operations leaders to drive recurring revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Establish a culture of accountability around business development, customer experience, and performance execution.

Talent & Culture

  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leaders across operations, sales, finance, and support functions.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, continuous improvement, customer service, and employee development.
  • Build leadership succession plans and organizational depth across the business.

Board & Investor Relations

  • Provide regular reporting and strategic updates to the Board and ownership group.
  • Partner with investors to execute growth initiatives and achieve long-term value creation objectives.
  • Ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment around organizational goals and performance.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE


Proven Executive Leader

  • Experience serving as CEO, President, COO, Executive Vice President, Regional President, or Division President within commercial HVAC services, mechanical services, building services, facility services, or adjacent industries.


Commercial HVAC Industry Expertise

  • Deep understanding of service operations, preventative maintenance programs, retrofit projects, controls/building automation, and recurring revenue service models.
  • Strong appreciation for technician-driven businesses and field service operations.


Growth-Oriented Operator

  • Demonstrated success leading organizations through significant growth, including branch expansion, acquisition integration, and operational scaling.
  • Experience leading businesses with revenues ranging from $100M to $500M+.


Financial & Operational Acumen

  • Strong P&L management experience with a track record of improving profitability, operational performance, and enterprise value.
  • Data-driven decision maker with expertise in forecasting, KPI management, and operational metrics.


Culture Builder

  • Recognized for developing strong leadership teams and creating high-performance cultures.
  • Proven ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent at all levels of the organization.


Private Equity Experience Preferred

  • Experience working within a private equity-backed environment is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of value creation plans, acquisition strategies, integration processes, and investor reporting expectations.
