VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired seeks a strategic, forward-looking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization’s financial strategy at a pivotal moment of growth and transformation.
While VISIONS operates with an approximately $15M annual budget, the organization is steward of an approximately $120M endowment, requiring sophisticated financial leadership to balance near-term operational needs with long-term asset management and mission sustainability.
A central priority for the incoming CFO will be financial leadership of a multi-million-dollar initiative to revitalize the VISIONS Center on Blindness (VCB) campus—a transformative investment in infrastructure, programming, and earned revenue opportunities that will expand VISIONS reach and impact.
Equally important, the CFO will play a key role in building VISIONS next generation of programs and revenue streams, working in close partnership with the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer and the newly created Deputy Chief Growth and Implementation Officer. Together, this leadership team will expand access to services through new program models, enterprise operational implementation, strengthen revenue cycle capabilities, and scalable service delivery systems that increase the number of participants served through insurance, self-pay, and other sustainable funding mechanisms.
The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive team, partnering closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders. To ensure continuity, VISIONS long-serving CFO will transition into onboarding and knowledge transfer for the new position. The CFO reports directly to the CEO, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the COO for designated functional areas to ensure effective coordination and organizational effectiveness.
