Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Hospitality

Job Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial vision, governance, and performance of our hospitality operations. The CFO will oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, risk management, and investment strategy while partnering with executive leadership to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence across hotels, restaurants, and related business units.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives and expansion plans.
• Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and Board to support decision-making, investments, and growth initiatives.
• Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation across the hospitality portfolio.

2. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, and audit processes in accordance with IFRS or applicable standards.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to maintain strong financial health.

3. Budgeting, Cost Control & Profitability

• Direct annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across properties and departments.
• Implement cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives while maintaining service quality.
• Analyze revenue streams, occupancy trends, and operational KPIs to enhance profitability.

4. Compliance, Risk & Governance

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, internal controls, and corporate governance standards.
• Lead risk management frameworks, internal controls, and fraud prevention measures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, regulatory reporting, and board finance committees.

5. Funding, Investments & Expansion

• Manage banking relationships, financing structures, and capital raising activities.
• Evaluate new property investments, acquisitions, and development projects through financial modeling and due diligence.
• Support joint ventures, partnerships, and asset management strategies.

6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Lead and develop finance, accounting, procurement, and revenue management teams.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, marketing, and HR leadership to align financial and operational performance.
• Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CFA strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance roles within hospitality, hotels, F&B, or tourism.
• Proven track record in multi-property financial management, investment analysis, and strategic planning.

Technical & Leadership Skills:

• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and corporate finance.
• Deep understanding of hospitality financial KPIs (RevPAR, GOP, ADR, occupancy, cost per available room, etc.).
• Experience with ERP systems, financial modeling, and data analytics.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, governance awareness, and strategic thinking.
