Overview
We are a rapidly growing Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) platform seeking a highly analytical, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of financial transformation, institutional readiness, and scalable growth.

The CFO will be responsible for building financial infrastructure, addressing legacy inefficiencies, implementing forward-looking systems, and serving as a key partner to ownership and external investment stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience within alternative lending or a comparable financial services environment, with a proven ability to combine technical expertise, financial strategy, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance revenue recognition, portfolio accounting, and syndication reporting processes
  • Ensure financial reporting accurately reflects tax implications and aligns with strategic objectives
  • Lead proactive and compliant tax strategy in coordination with external advisors
  • Build scalable financial infrastructure and eliminate key-person dependencies across financial operations
  • Oversee remediation of legacy accounting issues and implement best-in-class reporting systems
  • Partner with executive leadership on capital strategy, cost of capital optimization, and long-term growth planning
  • Manage external CPA firms and advisors, ensuring performance, accountability, and alignment
  • Establish transparent, standardized processes to ensure accessibility and integrity of financial data across the organization
  • Drive structure, discipline, and operational consistency across the finance function
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within financial services, alternative lending, specialty finance, or a similar high-velocity capital environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare financials and reporting for institutional investors
  • Strong expertise in tax implications as they relate to financial reporting and strategy
  • Track record of building and scaling financial infrastructure within a growing organization
  • High level of technical proficiency and experience modernizing financial systems
  • Experience leading financial cleanup initiatives and implementing structured processes
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA designation
  • Experience in Merchant Cash Advance (MCA), factoring, or comparable capital-intensive lending models
  • Familiarity with portfolio modeling and structured finance
  • Experience working within a close-knit, high-accountability team environment

Candidate Profile
  • Demonstrates strong leadership presence and sound judgment
  • High level of ownership and accountability
  • Hands-on operator with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Technologically adept and forward-thinking
  • Highly organized, focused, and dependable
  • Capable of leading organizations through transition—from remediation and process improvement to structured, scalable growth
