We are looking for a Chief Human Resources Officer (Metals & Mining) to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul, for CoreX Metals & Mining.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within a multinational corporation or a global industrial group in the metals and mining sectors
  • Strong understanding of labor unions, workforce structures and dynamics in surface and/or underground mining operations
  • Strong track record of managing cross-border HR processes, global mobility, and international workforce integration
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a complex, matrix reporting environment
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, social security practices, occupational health & safety regulations, and data privacy compliance
  • Proven ability to think strategically, lead change, and drive organizational and process improvements
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors or similar platforms)
  • Advanced level of English
  • Willingness to travel and work actively on-site at mining facilities and subsidiaries when required


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the holding’s vision, business goals, and operational model across the company and its subsidiaries
  • Ensure seamless integration of HR processes between field operations (mines, plants, camp areas) and the head office
  • Conduct strategic workforce planning, identify talent needs, and manage end-to-end recruitment processes
  • Design and implement employee engagement and retention programs tailored to the challenges of mining and remote site environments
  • Establish and oversee performance management systems, promoting a culture of continuous feedback and development
  • Design and manage compensation, benefits, and incentive systems in line with industry benchmarks and company strategy
  • Lead training and development initiatives for both white- and blue-collar employees to support upskilling and career progression
  • Manage labor union relations, collective bargaining processes, and communication with employee representatives, where applicable
  • Collaborate closely with the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) department to foster a strong HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) culture
  • Ensure full compliance with labor laws, social security regulations, and data protection laws (e.g., KVKK/GDPR)
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team across the organization and its affiliates, promoting a consistent and high-performance HR culture
