Job Description:

The Chief Medical Officer – Digital Health & Telemedicine will serve as a pivotal leader in steering the organization's strategic vision and clinical governance with a primary focus on advancing digital health initiatives and telemedicine solutions. The role requires an extensive understanding of healthcare delivery systems, innovative healthcare technologies, and regulatory landscapes. The CMO will collaborate closely with executive leadership to align digital health strategies with overall organizational goals, ensuring integration of evidence-based practices into telehealth services. This position necessitates the ability to foster a culture of innovation, manage complex change initiatives, and cultivate partnerships with key stakeholders including technology vendors, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and customer satisfaction while leveraging data analytics to assess the impact of digital interventions on health outcomes.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in clinical leadership roles within healthcare organizations, with a focus on digital health and/or telemedicine.
  • Doctorate degree in Medicine (MD or DO) with an active medical license and board certification in a relevant specialty.
  • Proven track record of successfully deploying telehealth programs and digital health initiatives that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, payer policies, and compliance requirements related to telemedicine and digital health.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and develop multi-disciplinary teams within a complex organizational structure.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights for improved clinical performance and patient outcomes.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex clinical concepts to a variety of audiences, including non-clinical stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for digital health and telemedicine that aligns with the overall mission and goals of the organization.
  • Oversee the clinical governance framework for telehealth services to ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance metrics and leveraging data to refine telemedicine programs and services.
  • Engage with clinical teams to promote best practices in telehealth service delivery and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with IT and product development teams to enhance telehealth platforms, promoting a user-friendly experience for both providers and patients.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with technology vendors and third-party service providers to extend the organization's telemedicine capabilities.
  • Lead educational programs for staff and stakeholders on the benefits and challenges of digital health solutions and the evolving landscape of telemedicine.
  • Serve as a spokesperson and thought leader for telemedicine initiatives within the organization and in broader healthcare settings, including conferences and community engagements.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage in digital health and telemedicine services.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to generate new ideas that improve patient engagement and service delivery.
