About the Company:

Cornerstone Healing Center is known as one of Arizona’s top substance use rehabs, with locations in Scottsdale and Phoenix. Founded in 2017, Cornerstone began as a small residential treatment center and has grown into a comprehensive organization offering eight addiction and mental health programs across the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, including virtual services available statewide. We are a mission-driven, growing organization focused on helping people rebuild their lives.

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the execution of our programs and operational departments, while supporting the CEO in scaling the organization to its next level of growth. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, driving efficiency, and maintaining alignment across all teams and programs.

What This Role Looks Like

The COO will translate the CEO’s strategic vision into operational excellence. You will oversee multiple departments - including finance, clinical services, marketing, IT, human resources, and operations - ensuring that staff, programs, and systems function efficiently and effectively.

You will lead directors, track cross-departmental initiatives, solve operational problems, optimize processes, and maintain high standards of performance and compliance. You will help create structure and clarity around organizational priorities, making sure initiatives move forward smoothly and efficiently.

This is a hands-on, dynamic role. The ideal candidate is approachable, energetic, and decisive, able to empower teams without micromanaging, and thrives in a culture that values collaboration, respect, and mission-driven work, bringing operational expertise, leadership presence and a balance of energy, professionalism, and adaptability.

Who Thrives Here

  • Experienced operations leader with 8+ years of senior level experience, ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, or a similarly regulated, multi-program environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) preferred but not required
  • Proven track record managing multiple departments, programs, and operational initiatives.
  • Experience with EOS / Traction, or other structured operational frameworks (Level 10 meetings, quarterly plannings, KPIs).
  • Ability to track projects, follow up on deadlines, and maintain organizational visibility
  • Approachable, energetic, and decisive - able to lead diverse teams with confidence while fostering a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
  • Hands-on, problem-solver who delegates effectively, streamlines workflows, and ensures teams are empowered to perform their best.

Why This Role Matters

The COO ensures that the CEO’s vision is executed with precision and efficiency. By leading operations, empowering teams, and maintaining clarity across all programs and initiatives, the COO allows the organization to scale while continuing to provide life-changing care.
