JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of the Role:

The Reinsurance Manager is responsible for managing the company’s reinsurance operations to effectively transfer and mitigate risk exposure. The role ensures proper placement of reinsurance treaties and facultative arrangements, maintains strong relationships with local and international reinsurers, and works closely with underwriting, claims, and finance departments. The incumbent monitors market trends, evaluates reinsurance structures, and provides strategic insights to optimize the company’s risk management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

(Functional Competencies) = 70 marks

• Manage Reinsurance Operation/Placement Function – 25%
• Manage Relationship with local and international market -15%
• Closely work with underwriting/claims/finance department. -15%
• Monitor and execute reconciliation. -5%
• Team building and succession plan – 5%
• Other various tasks.-5%

• Strong technical knowledge of Insurance/Reinsurance principles.
• Understanding of international reinsurance market trends and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Leadership capabilities, decision-making, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to work proactively and adapt to diversity in global markets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs800,000.00 - Rs899,500.00 per month
