Job Purpose
Lead and manage the survey team to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality surveying services for roads construction projects. The Chief Surveyor ensures that all survey activities comply with project specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable standards, providing reliable spatial data to support engineering design, construction execution, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and supervise all surveying activities for roads construction projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules and engineering requirements.

Lead and manage a team of surveyors, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight.

Establish and maintain primary and secondary control networks for road alignment, grading, and infrastructure works.

Conduct and verify setting-out works for road centrelines, curves, profiles, cross-sections, drainage, and ancillary structures.

Review and validate survey data, calculations, and as-built drawings for accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate with project engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to resolve survey-related issues promptly.

Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and safe operation of all survey instruments and equipment.

Prepare and submit survey reports, progress records, and documentation as required by the project and client.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality management systems, and health & safety regulations on site.

Liaise with client representatives and consultants on all survey-related matters, including submissions and approvals.
Qualifications
Qualifications

Diploma in Civil Engineering or Survey Engineering.

Minimum 15 years of experience in surveying roads works.

At least 5 years of experience operating as a Chief Surveyor.

Strong communication skills.

Excellent practical and theoretical knowledge of all types of survey equipment.

Good understanding of survey methods and survey-related works.
