Job Description:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Digital Transformation & Cloud Sovereignty is a strategic executive position responsible for driving the technological vision and strategic direction within the organization. This role demands a seasoned leader who possesses a deep understanding of digital transformation strategies and cloud sovereignty principles. The successful candidate will leverage advanced technologies and innovative methodologies to steer the organization towards achieving operational excellence and competitive advantage in the digital landscape. This position requires exceptional expertise in both technology and business acumen, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. The CTO will also be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with the organization’s vision and operational goals, while ensuring that all technological initiatives comply with local, national, and international regulations concerning data sovereignty and cloud services.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, specifically focused on digital transformation and cloud strategies.
• Proven experience managing large-scale technology projects with demonstrable outcomes in performance improvement and cost reduction.
• In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, cloud computing (public, private, hybrid), and data governance models, particularly regarding sovereignty issues.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management principles, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a robust ability to develop and execute long-term technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
• Experience in change management and the ability to drive organizational transformation initiatives focused on innovation and agility.
• Strong communication skills, adept at presenting complex information to a variety of audiences, including board-level executives, senior management, and technical teams.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to cloud computing and data privacy.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of a strategic technology roadmap that aligns with the organization’s vision and drives digital transformation initiatives.
• Oversee the organization’s cloud strategy, ensuring compliance with data sovereignty laws and regulations while maximizing operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs, priorities, and opportunities for innovation across all departments.
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including technology vendors, partners, and regulatory authorities, to ensure the organization stays at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the technology team, encouraging creative problem-solving and exploration of new technologies.
• Direct the evaluation and selection of technology solutions, overseeing vendor negotiation, and ensuring the best value for technology investments.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics related to technology initiatives and adjust strategies as necessary to optimize results.
• Develop and implement effective cybersecurity strategies to safeguard organizational data, infrastructure, and technology assets.
• Champion best practices in project management, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of technology initiatives.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for technological vision and direction, communicating effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
