About the Role:
As one of Fort’s consulting Psychiatrists, you will have the opportunity to help deliver patient care and/or to work with our care team to deliver high quality, evidence-based therapy and medication management.
The incumbent reports directly to the Medical Director who will also assign projects and provide general direction and guidance. The candidate is expected to perform duties with minimal supervision.
In this role, you will:
Provide psychiatric services to individuals who otherwise may not have access to care
Coordinate treatment planning and care delivery with Fort Health’s network of licensed therapists
Adhere to Fort Health’s platform guidelines and policies and complete all required training
Provide unparalleled clinical customer service through the delivery of prompt and empathetic care on the platform
Provide software and operational feedback to Fort Health’s in-house engineering and operational teams to improve products, workflows and care delivery
Implement medication treatment plans for mild to moderate disorders in a virtual clinic (i.e. telehealth) setting
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team of physicians, therapists, along with outside providers
Ability to message between sessions to support patients and communicate with other internal providers
Engage and collaborate in clinical meetings, supervision, and team meetings as appropriate
Provide compensated scheduled supervision of nurse practitioners
Duties include, but not limited to:
Work with a team of MDs, NPs, and clinicians to provide effective and evidence based treatment to our patients
Traditional psychiatric services - diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and on-going monitoring
Opportunities to work in a collaborative care model - work with a team of clinicians and care coordinators to consult and advise pediatricians on behavioral health
Address issues in their patient population
Able to work a limited, part-time schedule with possibility to ramp up as we grow
What we are looking for:
Active New York state medical license
Board Certified in Child Psychiatry
Capacity to work a minimum of 5 hours per week with availability during after school hours or weekends
Experience working in a telehealth environment preferred
