Child Care Assistant

In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting with daily activities, supervising children, and implementing educational programs that promote social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children during playtime, learning activities, and mealtime to ensure safety and enjoyment.
• Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans that support childhood development milestones.
• Support infants and toddlers with care routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Promote positive behavior management strategies to encourage respectful interactions and emotional regulation among children.
• Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to monitor each child's progress, noting developmental milestones and areas needing additional support.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that is safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's daily activities and developmental progress.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response in emergencies.
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for young children.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining flexibility to adapt to dynamic classroom needs.
