Child Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages. You will engage in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development while ensuring their well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to support their growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in a safe and engaging environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster learning and development.
• Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their needs are met.
• Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and nap times.
• Monitor children's behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare space.
• Collaborate with other caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.

Skills

• First Aid certification is preferred.
• Proficient in toddler care, infant care, and early childhood education principles.
• Strong background in teaching or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting.
• Familiarity with childhood development milestones and behavior management techniques.
• Experience in daycare settings or classroom environments is highly valued.
• Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $580.00 - $660.00 per week
