Child Care Assistant

Must have open availability Monday-Friday 5:30 am -5:30 pm as the schedule varies.

Must be able to pass a background check through the State

We are looking to hire an addotional part-time experienced Child Care Assistant for our Preschool/Toddler classrooms in Albany, OR!

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
• Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
• Meal prep and serving for up to 16 children
• End of day cleaning and sanitizing
• Able to assist in preschool prep and teaching
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children
• Supervising and care for the physical and emotional wellbeing of our infants and toddlers in the infant/toddler room.

Qualifications:

• Passion for early childhood education
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• A genuine desire to help children achieve their full potential
• Must have open availability, Monday through Friday 5:30 AM-5:30 PM as the schedule changes
• Detail oriented
• Ability to cook for a large group
• Ability to multitask quickly
• Ability to pass a criminal background check through The Department of Early Learning and Care
• Ability to plan and carry out daily activities with children
• Ability to obtain a Oregon Food Handlers Card
• Ability and willing to take a few classes including but not limited to Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Aid
• Ability to Clean quickly and efficiently
• Dependability
• Must have infant and toddler experience.
