Duties

• Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
• Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum focusing on childhood development and early learning skills
• Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene in accordance with health guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and encourages exploration
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and daily activities
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
• Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills among children

Skills

• Experience working with children across various settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or babysitting/nannying roles
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) to ensure preparedness for emergencies
• Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare environment
• Ability to manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
• Experience in infant care, toddler care, or preschool teaching enhances your ability to support diverse age groups effectively
