Child Care Assistant Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Responsibilities

  • Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
  • Assist with classroom management to promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and critical thinking
  • Provide attentive toddler and preschooler care, ensuring their physical needs are met with compassion and professionalism
  • Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and maintaining a clean learning space
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as needed
  • Foster effective communication with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to early childhood development

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, including literacy education and foundational math skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have autism or other disabilities; experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage parents positively
  • Certification or training in early childhood education, Montessori methods, or special education is preferred but not required
  • Passion for nurturing young learners’ growth through engaging lesson planning and hands-on activities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
