Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, and early childhood development skills
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and problem-solving
- Provide individualized attention and mentoring to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism
- Help facilitate behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and emotional regulation
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare
- Support classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions while ensuring health and safety standards are upheld
Qualifications
- Prior classroom or childcare experience working with young children is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques such as Montessori or private school curricula is advantageous
- Familiarity with special education practices, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to proofread educational materials and assist in tutoring or literacy education activities
- Experience in classroom management, mentoring students, and supporting inclusive learning environments
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is a plus but not mandatory
