Child Care Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Child Care Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education program. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children while ensuring compliance with all licensing regulations and educational standards. Your leadership will inspire staff, foster positive relationships with families, and promote a vibrant learning community that supports children's development and well-being. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
  • Manage daily center operations, including staff scheduling, enrollment processes, and maintaining a safe environment for children and staff.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality educational delivery and adherence to licensing standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with families by providing regular communication, support, and opportunities for involvement in their children’s learning journey.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to child care licensing and safety protocols.
  • Oversee budgeting, record-keeping, inventory management, and procurement of educational materials and supplies.
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement, professional development, and exceptional child care service.

Skills

  • Proven experience in higher education teaching or education administration within early childhood or related fields.
  • Extensive knowledge of child development principles, curriculum design, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Experience working within a university or similar educational institution is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Passion for working with students of all ages and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment. Pay: $45,743.79 - $55,089.30 per year
