Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children in a variety of settings such as daycare center, preschool and school age classrooms.
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and physical development
• Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and daily experiences
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions among children

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred
• Ability to engage children through creative play, teaching activities, and caregiving routines
• Strong classroom management skills to promote a safe and supportive environment
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and team members
