Position Overview

We’re looking for dedicated and energetic teachers to join our growing team! Whether your passion is nurturing infants, encouraging curious toddlers, guiding preschoolers, or preparing Pre-K learners for kindergarten success — we have a classroom for you. Our teachers play a vital role in creating meaningful daily experiences that reflect Mi Casa’s values and commitment to quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional, social, and developmental growth.
  • Plan and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Mi Casa’s curriculum and early learning standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets DFPS Minimum Standards and TRS guidelines.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with parents, coworkers, and leadership teams.
  • Support each child’s individual learning journey through observation, documentation, and intentional teaching.
  • Follow daily routines, including mealtimes, diapering/toileting, and transitions, while maintaining a nurturing tone throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with leadership and team members to uphold Mi Casa’s high-quality standards and center culture.

Qualifications

  • Must meet DFPS Minimum Standards for childcare employees (18+ years of age, high school diploma or equivalent).
  • Experience in childcare or early childhood education preferred, but not required — we provide training and ongoing professional development.
  • CPR/First Aid, Food Handler, and Texas Abuse & Neglect certificates preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and a passion for helping children learn and grow.

  • Infant Teacher (6 weeks – 12 months)
  • Toddler Teacher (12 – 24 months)
  • Two’s Teacher (24 – 36 months)
  • Preschool Teacher (3 – 4 years)
  • Pre-K Teacher (4 – 5 years)
  • Substitute Teacher / Floater (All Ages)
