Child Care Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and classroom management, along with a genuine love for working with young children. This position requires the candidate to work with children ages 2-12 years.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
• Engage children in educational activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and social skills.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall development of each child.
• Maintain accurate records of children's activities and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized space.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• Experience in classroom management or similar settings is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in roles such as daycare, nannying, babysitting, or caregiving is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and families.
• Ability to create engaging educational activities tailored to various age groups.
• Patience, creativity, and flexibility in teaching methods.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
• DHHS fingerprint eligibility a plus.

Hours: Vary by location

• Winslow: Seeking 6:15am-8:00am for before school care. Also seeking 2:00pm-5:30pm for after school care. Additional hours available on late start days, non school days and during school vacation weeks.
• Vassalboro: Seeking 6:15am-8:00am for before school care. Also seeking 2:00pm-5:30pm fof after school care. Additional hours available on early release days, non school days, and during school vacation weeks.
• Additional hours may be available within the preschool program located at the Winslow site.
• MONDAY-FRIDAY
