Child Care Teacher/Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team for the Summer (June 15th to July 24th) The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages children's curiosity and creativity.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Provide individualized attention to children, addressing their unique needs and learning styles.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the classroom and play areas.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of best practices in early childhood education.

Experience

• Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or similar childcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
• Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to engage children effectively.
• Experience in toddler care or caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying is beneficial.
• A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field is highly desirable but not mandatory.
