Child Psychologist

​Anxiety Anxiety & OCD Treatment Services, PLLC is seeking a full-time licensed child psychologist to join our growing outpatient specialty practice in West Des Moines, Iowa. We are specifically looking for a clinician who is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families and who values evidence-based treatment for anxiety-related disorders.

Our practice specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD-spectrum disorders, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders across the lifespan. A significant portion of our child and adolescent caseload involves OCD, anxiety disorders (panic, health anxiety, social anxiety, specific phobias, etc), body-focused repetitive behaviors, school refusal, or related concerns requiring exposure-based and family-based interventions.

We are especially interested in clinicians with experience or strong interest in:

• Working with children and teens with anxiety and OCD
• Parent and family-based interventions
• Exposure and response prevention (ERP) and other exposure-based approaches
• Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
• SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) or other parent-based approaches

Our practice is grounded in evidence-based care, clinician collaboration, and professional development. Services are delivered through a hybrid model, combining in-person therapy at our fully furnished office with telehealth services.

Position Highlights:

• ​Full-time, salaried W-2 position + incentive compensation

Qualifications:

• ​Licensed (or license-eligible) in the state of Iowa
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
• Training in evidence-based treatment such as cognitive behavior therapy, exposure and response prevention, acceptance and commitment therapy, prolonged exposure, and cognitive processing therapy
• Experience treating anxiety disorders - phobias, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety - OCD, BFRBs, and trauma-related disorders
• Interest in family-based and parent-focused treatment approaches
• Enthusiasm for continuing to learn in-depth about various evidence-based treatment modalities
• Value collaboration, consultation, and contributing to a team-based practice

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
