Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced well rounded educator who will support the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of students aged 10 to 16 years. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership to provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes mental wellness, positive behavior, and personal development. The candidate should have a strong interest in Poetry, Prose, theatre & drama.

Key Responsibilities for Counselling facilitation
1. Student Counseling:-
Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to address academic concerns, peer relationships, emotional challenges, and behavioral issues.- Support students in coping with stress, anxiety, bullying, low self-esteem, and other personal challenges.- Assist students in setting goals and developing life skills such as time management, decision-making, and conflict resolution
2. School-Wide Programs & Workshops:-
Design and implement age-appropriate guidance programs focusing on mental health, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and social skills.- Organize workshops and campaigns around themes such as exam stress, adolescence, digital safety, and peer pressure.
3. Teacher and Parent Collaboration:-
Work collaboratively with teachers to identify students needing support and advise on classroom strategies for emotional and behavioral management.- Communicate with parents/guardians about their child's development and suggest resources or referrals when necessary.- Conduct parent sessions to raise awareness about adolescent development and mental health.
4. Crisis Intervention:-
Provide immediate support in crisis situations such as trauma, grief, or emergencies affecting student mental health.- Maintain a calm, supportive environment and coordinate with external professionals when needed.
5. Record-Keeping & Reporting:- Maintain confidential and up-to-date records of counseling sessions and student progress.- Prepare reports and assessments for internal use or referrals.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness and ability to help reform classroom management skills and work in cohesion with the teachers.
Key Responsibilities for Academics , theatre and drama facilitation
-Teach English language and literature (including poetry, prose, and drama) to middle and senior school students.
- Lead classes and workshops in theatre arts: acting, stage presence, character building, movement, and vocal performance.
- Direct and produce student theatre productions, annual plays, monologue nights, and literary showcases.
- Guide students in script development, dramatizations of literature, and original performance work.
- Encourage inclusive participation, helping students overcome stage fright and build confidence.
Organize and mentor school literary clubs, dramatics societies, and school publications.
- Support inter-house and inter-school cultural competitions (elocution, debate, drama, etc.).
- Help coordinate the annual cultural festival, theatre evenings, and open mic session
- Foster reading, writing, and critical thinking skills through well-structured, engaging lessons.
- Use innovative, student-centered teaching methodologies to inspire creativity and independent expression.
Desirable Attributes-
- Fluency in English and at least one regional language.
- Knowledge of Indian education system and child development norms.
- Familiarity with digital safety, mental health first aid, and adolescent behavior management.
