Madison County Job and Family Services is looking for a Child Support Case Manager to investigate and enforce child support cases by locating absent parents, coordinating with agencies, maintaining accurate case records, and ensuring compliance with IV-D regulations.
What You’ll Do:
- Case Investigation and Parent Location: Interview applicants, recipients, and non-recipients to obtain information to locate absent parents for child support enforcement. Maintain correspondence with parent locator services, post offices, employers, and government agencies to gather relevant case information. Update and monitor cases. Refer appropriate cases to the IV-D attorney and coordinate enforcement efforts in accordance with IV-D regulations.
- Administrative Enforcement & Case Review: Conduct investigations to complete administrative enforcement actions based on client referrals and IV-D records. Review and update case information using State and BIC Cognos monthly reports. Implement necessary case changes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Interstate Referrals & Documentation: Prepare referrals to appropriate out-of-state agencies for the establishment and enforcement of child support orders. Prepare investigative reports and document all actions taken for case records. Maintain detailed logs of case activity.
- Records Management & System Updates: Update and maintain accurate electronic case records. Perform general administrative duties including scanning documents through Compass Capture and entering data into systems such as SETS, Compass Appointments, On-Base, and Compass Forms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Completion of secondary education (high school diploma or GED) required.
- Experience: One (1) or more years of related work experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required
- Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability under the County’s vehicle insurance policy.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficient in computer systems and data entry.
