Childcare Director

Job Summary
The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the child care program, ensuring high-quality education and care for all children.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and development.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff members; provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and families to enhance their involvement in the program.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing requirements and health regulations.
• Monitor the safety and well-being of children in the facility at all times.
• Collaborate with community organizations to promote the program and enhance resources available to families.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments and feedback from staff, parents, and children.

Qualifications

• A degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
• Prior experience in higher education teaching or administration is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with staff, parents, and community members.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Job Type: Full-time
